How can I prepare my home
to list?

Give the home a thorough cleaning– get rid of anything you aren’t taking with you, declutter surfaces, take care of repairs, have the exterior pressure cleaned and the landscaping spruced up. You may also consider repainting if it is overdue or if the home is painted in dark or bold colors. 

A pre-qualification is an estimate of what you may be approved for based only on the verbal information you provide. A pre-approval states the specific loan amount that you're eligible for and the lender has verified your income and debt information.

How do I know what my home is worth?

How much do I need to
save for a down payment?

A conventional loan down payment is a minimum of 5% of the sales price, and if you want to avoid paying PMI you can put 20% down. Other types of financing require as little as 0-3.5% A lender can tell you what types of loans you qualify for. Need a lender? I have several that I can refer to you!

I will provide a comparative market analysis (CMA) to help you set the correct listing price. I look at recent sales of comparable homes in the neighborhood, and then I compare features + conditions of the home. (Note: the tax appraiser’s assessed value of your home has nothing to do with the market price.)
